Beaumes-de-Venise
Moulin à Huile La Balméenne
Tourist service in Beaumes-de-Venise :
Traditional mill, synoptic signs and a playful space coexist to help you discover the world of olives and the olive tree. It was established in 1856 by the Marquis de Gaudemaris. Member of the 'groupement des oléiculteurs de Vaucluse' (Vaucluse olive producers).
The mill really comes alive for visitors during the 'fêtes des Moulins' or in the winter holidays when you can discover and taste the new oil. From the traditional stone grinding wheels, the presses and the sacks, the mill is now equipped with ultra-modern equipment. The olive oils have often won at the Concours Général de Paris, Gold Medal in 1995, 1999, 2000, 2008. Extra virgin, 100% natural, oil made with Verdales of Carpentras olives. Free self-guided tour of the old mill (wheel, press, tools), F, D, GB video projection. Max number of persons: 25. Language spoken: GB.
