Domaine des Lauribert

The legend of the estate goes back to the year 1061, when the Seigneur des Lauribert reçeived honours from Pope Urban II for the quality of his wines, which were unlike any other. The Lord des Lauriberts had a secret and a method that were known only to him. The Lord des Lauriberts died in the year 1096, during the course of a battle, and left no heirs Pope Urban II confiscated the secret method that belonged to the Lauribert estate.

In the year 1789 the land became the property of France, and one plot was purchased by Father Carrelet.

The Sourdon family inherited this estate, and still possesses the secret that had made the fame of the Seigneur des Lauribert. The Sourdon family continues to implement this method to make its "La Carelette" vintage.

And to pay tribute to the Seigneur des Lauribert, the estate continues to bear his name.
