AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The commune of Courthézon (the owner), with the aim of preserving the environment and biodiversity, entrusted management of the site to the CEN PACA (Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) in 2003.
What is wetland? Ponds, stretches of open water, reed beds and peatland can be found both on the coastland and in inland areas. These habitats play an important role not only as sources of biodiversity, but also for controlling flooding and as water purifiers.
This Sensitive Natural Area is a real success in terms of concertation. Come and visit!
