Domaine de Fontenille ****

Located at the heart of Provence, some 25 minutes from Aix-en-Provence, the Domaine de Fontenille is one of the few Provençal properties to have retained its original appearance.

Each of the Domaine's 18 luxurious bedrooms and suites, as well as the apartment, is unique, with a refined and understated luxury. Bathed in natural light and facing the gardens, they combine a classical style, tinted with southern light, with fluid and poetic contemporary lines.

The gourmet restaurant, “Le Champ des Lunes”, and the bistro, “La Cuisine d’Amélie”, are run by Michel Marini, who serves a spontaneous cuisine that is resolutely modern and closely tied to the region.

The Domaine, which is in the process of converting to organic farming methods, offers outstanding wines.

Contemporary art is present everywhere in the Domaine. The former winery now hosts 4 exhibitions of contemporary artists every year, in partnership with international galleries and museums.
