Staging intention
"From Hugues de Rosamel, by Les Scènes d'Argens.

On reading the play, we sense an abstraction of space-time, space-place and concreteness, inviting us to great freedom of expression, an unconventional staging.
The two characters do not belong to the same social class.
There's no need for a fancy, overloaded set; the language and behavior of each will confirm this fact.
A man, a woman, desires, deceit, murder... these are timeless subjects that shouldn't be weighed down by artifice. That's what makes the world go round, isn't it?
The acting will be pure. The same goes for the set design, which will easily accommodate our two characters in the afterlife.
