How do you make time visible, how do you make it feel, how do you flush out time in its nakedness, time as it passes, giving it form, capturing it in its very movement?
This is the challenge that Alexis Rouvre faces with his "circus of objects". A juggler of time, rather than gravity, he finds his inspiration in astrophysicist Carlo Rovelli:
An alchemist of the vanitas, he uses simple objects - knitting, chain, stone - to create a densely poetic work, opening onto the other side of the passing moment, which lasts for nothing and holds everything together.
