Fête de la Véraison, 38ème édition
Event in Châteauneuf-du-Pape :
Châteauneuf-du-Pape revives the emblematic festival of the Véraison which celebrates the wines of the appellation and the medieval history of the village. During the weekend nobles, knights, minstrels, jugglers, merchants and tavern keepers take possession of the city.
The Fête de la Véraison transforms the old village of Châteauneuf du Pape into a true medieval city and transports visitors back to the old days.
Noble knights and ladies, minstrels and jugglers, merchants and tavern owners invade the streets for three days of festivities and shows: historical re-enactments, encampments, parades, daily life sketches. In the tradition of the fairs of yesteryear, the great Medieval Market presents more than a hundred stalls.
Visitors will be able to taste the wines of the appellation in the cellars (from 10am to 7pm) and then at the mule barrel or at the fountain from 7pm.
Discover the flavors of medieval and provençal cuisine ! Enjoy music,
song and dance while you dine in the restaurants of the village.
