Saturday 19 April 2025 at 5 pm.
Event in Avignon :
The Chœur de l'Opéra Grand Avignon is made up of twenty permanent artists. The wide range of styles covered requires singers to have a complete and particularly flexible vocal, musical and choral technique.
It takes part in the Opéra Grand Avignon's entire operatic season - operas and operettas - and in a number of concerts. It is also called upon to perform in other opera houses, as part of co-productions or as a guest chorus.
Under the direction of their conductor, Alan Woodbridge, the artists of the Chœur de l'Opéra Grand Avignon present a musical program based on famous female characters in the history of opera and renowned female composers.
A journey through the centuries with Carmen, Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Dido and Aeneas, La Belle Hélène... Nadia Boulanger, Isabelle Aboulker, Anna Meredith... to be experienced with passion!
Concert followed by a convivial meeting with the performers.
