Avignon
Lauranne Oliva, Soprano - Levi Gerke, Piano
Saturday 26 April 2025 at 5 pm.
Event in Avignon :
Mozart is one of the composers whose passion for the soprano voice is most evident: arias from his operas and concert arias are part of the repertoire of the greatest singers.
While he wrote masterpieces in response to commissions from opera houses, Mozart also had the good fortune to rub shoulders on a daily basis with the Weber sisters, all three first-rate sopranos - Constance, of course, whom he married in 1782, but also Aloysia and Josepha - to whom he destined authentic jewels.
Drawing on this infinite reservoir, Lauranne Oliva, 1st Grand Prix and Audience Prize of the Paris Opéra Competition and 1st Prize of the "Voix Nouvelles" Competition 2023, proves her marvelous affinity with the "Divine Amadeus", with her incomparable light timbre and musicality. She is literally carried along by Levi Gerke's alternately silky and brilliant piano playing.
