In the Place Pousterle and Place de la Mairie, you'll find a genuine historical re-enactment of the year 1868, with its old-fashioned craft market, old trades, 1868 parade and musical entertainment.
For the past 28 years, on the weekend closest to February 14th, Roquemaure has become the "City of Love Legends".
Roquemaure rediscovers its 19th-century face to commemorate the arrival of the Relics of Saint Valentine in 1868, with more than 500 costumed people, horse-drawn carriages and riders, its old-fashioned post office, its Lovers' Fountain, its old-fashioned market, its old trades, its bandstand and its wooden horse rides.
To the sound of oboes, bagpipes, tambourines and galoubets, musical groups enliven the town, alongside acrobats, jugglers and acrobats.
For the occasion, Lovers can hum the most beautiful love songs to the sound of some thirty barrel organs and Limonaires in the streets of the old village.
