The Off Danse 2024 festival takes place this year from July 3 to 21!

- 10:05 am: Sur un fil
Dance, theater and visual arts. Ages 9 and up.
A poetic, choreographic piece combining text, dance, shadows and live video. A man sitting alone on a bench remembers her and the day they met, each with his luggage in hand. Anthony, the weight of his childhood. Claire, his sensitivity. Together, they support each other, laugh, dance, dream and create new moments that will go down in the book of their fondest memories. We laugh, we cry, we come away full of hope.

- 12:15pm: Yaay
Ages 7 and up.
Embody a heritage, a land, a material, the leading lady of our existence.
Recalling forgotten events or snatches of life that seem unreal or impossible.
To return to the essential. Writing, speaking, dancing, re-experiencing.

- 2pm: Au nom du rêve #2
Contemporary dance. Ages 8 and up.
For the past twenty years, choreographer Éric Oberdorff and his Compagnie Humaine have been tirelessly examining the world, poetically creating multidisciplinary works with universal themes that place the human being at the heart of creation. Resisting the reflex to withdraw into oneself, the upheavals of our changing society arouse a desire for sharing, communion and celebration. The mobility of the body has become an essential issue for everyone, and a necessity for all. In response to this deep and sincere desire to overturn established roles, Éric has imagined the piece "Au nom du rêve", which explores personal utopias and the liberation possible through dance as catharsis.

- 4pm: Sous tension
From age 6.
After the success of their first creation, "Être", the Belgian company DTS returns with a new choreographic proposition. This is a singular reflection on the tensions that weigh on human existence. Using the body as a vector of sensations and emotions, the company questions the impact of certain everyday ills through hip-hop and contemporary dance. Going beyond the bodily experience, DTS explores the diversity of tensions through the use of matter, sound and light. An original artistic creation between introspection and collective experience.

- 6pm: Connection
Contemporary dance. Ages 6 and up.
Connection" was born out of a period of self-questioning and inner introspection in the midst of a pandemic.
When everything around us comes to a standstill, isn't it time to ask ourselves what really drives us?
What is our inner fire, the one that allows us to achieve the unattainable?
"Connection" invites us to follow the journey of two dancers who, in their desire to break out of a system, a daily routine known to all, go in search of something deeper, more intimate: their inner light.

- 8pm: Coquelicot
Contemporary hip-hop. Ages 8 and up.
In this choreographic fable, we lose ourselves in an accelerated, urban world from which there seems to be no escape. In search of a new lease of life, four protagonists in "societal burn-out" meet and reinvent themselves in the discovery of others. Together, they build a more serene world. But the past resurfaces to put them to the test once again. A script that draws on the codes of storytelling and cinema to create a unique stage work. It's hard to say which of dance or music has led the other to tell us the story of this poppy seed, this internal revolt, of "Coquelicot".

- 10pm: Last Birds
Argentine tango and contemporary dance. Ages 6 and up.
"Last birds" are those big hearts of the body who believe that everything can be transmitted through movement, that everything can be felt through the bodies of others. In a contemporary take on Argentine tango, this rambling fairy tale for five dancers shatters the sensual myth of this dance: it's no longer just a question of two connecting, but of a multiplicity of bodies. The unconscious, perpetual dialogue that community life imposes on us is exalted. A poetic distortion of reality, illusions of costume and light, tango is represented here in a transfigured form that questions our current group relationships, with as many attempts to communicate with others as there are individualities.
