Sacred Music and Organ in Avignon

Musique Sacrée et Orgue en Avignon aims in Avignon and the surrounding region to to disseminate masterpieces of sacred music through concerts, events and other activities designed to raise awareness of the sacred music repertoire.
Defense of the organ's cultural heritage; promotion of instrument restoration and maintenance; promotion of new organ construction; promotion of the construction of a new organ in homage to Olivier Messiaen, as well as any cultural action supported under the name of Messiaen and around the organ in general; promotion of instrument-related activities and training.
Encouraged by public authorities, Orgue en Avignon and Orgue Hommage à Messiaen merged to form Musique Sacrée en Avignon.
The new entity is now called Musique Sacrée et Orgue en Avignon. With a new synergy and a concern for greater efficiency, the association is now able to offer a clearer range of live events in exceptional heritage sites throughout the year, both outside and during the Festival.
In this way, it meets the expectations of the public and the objectives of the public authorities: Ville d'Avignon, Communauté d'Agglomération du Grand Avignon, Conseil Départemental de Vaucluse and Région Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, by offering access to the vast repertoire of sacred music, as well as to the rich heritage of organs, to all audiences from all social backgrounds in all territories, grouped under the following headings:
Les Journées européennes du Patrimoine, les Automnales de l'Orgue, Les Grands Concerts de musiques sacrées, les Concerts à la Chapelle Saint-Louis, les Musiques Spirituelles du Soir, les Heures d'Orgue, Une Route des Orgues en Vaucluse et en Région Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, les Journées Messiaen and the Cycle de musiques sacrées pendant le Festival d'Avignon.
