Tourist service in Savoillans :
Savoillans is an isolated village, between mountains and meadows, a place of absolute calm. It is located in the Toulourenc valley at the northern base of the legendary Mont Ventoux. The village focusses on lavender and spelt cultivation.
After crossing the green mountains along the Toulourenc river, you will take the stone bridge that provides the access to the village.
From the road, you can see the church of Saint Agricol, dating from the late 19th century. Its high steeple adds to the charm of the village as well as the beautiful stone wash-house fed by the springs of Mont Ventoux.
Park your vehicle behind the town hall square, close to the picnic area and playground. The square and the village is named after the first settler of Savoillans : Sabuleius. Excavations at Collet Margot have revealed the site of a Roman villa.
Not to miss the « Ferme St Agricol de Savoillans » is located outside the village. Housed in a building with character, this former Ursuline convent, built in the 18th century, was a place for agricultural experimentation and today is used for various cultural events.
Savoillans presents the Art and Nature path, carried-out by the « Grandeur Nature » collective, which takes visitors meandering through the village and up the Ventoux forest ; a route full of environmental artistic creations to be discovered by the family all year round.
