Between 1329 and 1350, the Ceccano Cardinal's Palace, today the municipal library, was an important feature of the Avignon cultural landscape. The Palace was built in the 14th century to be the home of the Cardinal de Ceccano, and as of the 16th century was the Jesuit School. In 1960, after many different uses, it was restored. Be sure to see the splendid painted ceilings and diverse, old collections. The media resource centre is open to the public. This building is on the guided visit circuit led by the Avignon Tourism Office guides. - Please book in advance for guided visits for groups and school groups.
