A small village of 300 souls, Beaumont-du-Ventoux comprises 9 hamlets: le Piolon (which is the administrative center), l'Église, les Cabanes, Pierlaud, la Tuilerie, les Valettes, Sainte-Marguerite, les Alazards and the Mont Serein resort (1400 m).
Beaumont du Ventoux lies at the foot of Mont Ventoux. There is a path from the village to Mont Serein, a great place for many different sports throughout the year, including walking, tennis and skiing. The discovery trail named after Jean Henri Fabre starts here. The GR 4 and GR 91 hiking paths cross the town at the foot of Mont Ventoux, (the “Giant of Provence”). The village has some beautiful old monuments, including St Sépulcre, Ste Marguerite and St Roch Chapels and the 17th-century Parish Church which has a high-altar and elaborate main door.
