What is the Villa Datris?
Practical Info
Free entry to Villa Datris – make the most of it!
Villa Datris is a private foundation which sits in a magnificent building with a bright, colourful, and joyful facade dating from the end of the 19th century.
Founded several years ago by Danièle Marcovici, CEO of a packaging company, and Tristan Fourtine, an architect, Villa Datris was born out of a joint passion for Contemporary Art that they wished to share with others.
Every year, a new exhibition takes over; each year more exciting than the last!
From house to garden
Four floors and a charming garden – you’ll be led into another world…
Sculptures are exhibited in all the rooms of the house and all the way down to the bottom of the garden.
Dependent on the exhibitions, you can also see artwork by Daniel Buren, Wim Delvoye, Jean Dubuffet, Le Corbusier, Sol Lewitt, Joan Miró, Jean Nouvel, Sarah Oppenheimer, and a number of other big names!
We love
The harmony between nature and sculpture
Exhibitions…
to see as a family
Not only does the Villa Datris open its doors free of charge, to make its collections of contemporary artwork accessible to all – it also offers a fun and exciting visit for younger visitors.
In the form of a Cluedo-style investigation or a guided tour, the exhibitions are always accompanied by an approach specially designed with little ones in mind.
