Roussillon – the most well-known hilltop village – boasts ochre walls typical of the region.
Slow down and take the time to live the Provence lifestyle, by getting lost in the narrow streets of Gordes or Menerbes, two villages known to have kept their authenticity and traditional stone houses.
Sénanque Abbey in Gordes is incidentally an essential part of the region! Don’t miss the Bories village for an immersion in the Provence of bygone eras: these former shepherd’s huts are an example of the area’s rich heritage.
