The bamboo plantation is located next to the "Jardin des 9 Damoiselles," a contemporary installation composed of sculpted, engraved granite stones, forming a poetic and philosophical circuit. This strange “Jardin des 9 Damoiselles,” created by sculptor, Serge Boyer, is composed of blocks of stone, representing the land and sky which unite over time to create and sustain the surrounding vegetation. At the centre is a square of 9 stones, symbolizing the 9 towns designated as cities of culture by the Council of Europe in 2000. The underlying aim of this unique garden was to depict the successful relationship between civilisation and nature. The Bamboo Plantation and “Jardin des 9 Damoiselles” provide quiet green areas, conducive to rest and reflection, the ideal spot to enjoy a moment of relaxation.Equipment
